I have read many books on marriage. My wife tells me I am the unusual husband who does so. I think yours has to be one of my favorite books. Maybe that’s because it’s from a woman’s point of view. I appreciate the alternative perspective. Probably one of my most favorite parts of your book is where you explain how a husband is to honor his wife: “A celebrity in the House?” That was a truly beautiful picture of how I need to treat her. I’m by no means perfect, but I try to keep your example in mind. Yesterday on television I heard you speak of marriage as I’ve wanted to hear it spoken about for years !!!!! I am a single parent… You people seem to be the only ones who have at last expressed an understanding of the relationship between man and woman !!!!!!! This needs to be said again and again… To put the responsibility in the man’s hands. I have given several of your books “Forever My Love” as gifts. I bought my first copy of your book for men as a single G. I. in the USAF stationed in Tampa, FL. Since then I’ve been overseas, married with two children…away from my beautiful wife. Your book has been part of my foundation in my relationship with my wife….it has been the most complete book that I have read. This man wrote a long, detailed letter, admitting the mistakes he made as a husband before his wife took the children and left. He wrote: When I was first married I read your book, Forever My Love and it is always the book that I think of as having the greatest impact on my marriage.
Thank you so much for the beautiful presentation in Women’s Retreat on High Adventure with Christ. I really enjoyed it. This Retreat was so special for my mother-in-law. It was her first one and you made it so special. Thank you. Thank you for helping to make our October Retreat so very rewarding & interesting. It was the second time some of us were privileged to sit under your superb lectures and “life-lessons.” Retreat is so special to me and you made it so very much more special. You have a special spot
in my heart. I don’t see how you do so much. They don’t even give you a chance to eat at Retreat. Thank you for your help and prayers. God bless you. …My wife was planning on walking out before she read your books… From a physicist whose wife is a physician: Your contribution is a cooling oasis in a barren wilderness of feministic confusion and chauvinistic pride. I, for one, find your balance both beautiful and biblical. Thank you so much for your book... My wife read it first and nearly went crazy trying to get me to read it. I suddenly had the gnawing feeling that I might not have been fulfilling her need for love! I read it on our vacation in July and it bothered me because I realized that I indeed was not meeting her needs as I need to. Since that time I have gradually been trying to become a better lover and realize that I have a long way to go. A million “Thanks” for Forever My Love. Both my wife and I have read your book and think it’s great! We are encouraging others to purchase it. This book is a good addition to this whole field. Forever My Love, is an excellent expression of my own personal feelings. I know the book was written for husbands, but it surely helped me to have a deeper understanding of myself as a woman and a wife. We had many different reactions about singing into our sweethearts eyes [as you asked the audience to do]. One woman said it was one of the most beautiful nights she and her husband had spent since their marriage of eighteen years. Another said she cried all night because her husband wouldn’t even look at her and wouldn’t speak to her for three days. Needless to say, he has a problem. Forever My Love is fantastic! I agree with George that every man and every marriage would be helped by its contents. You not only touched every base but you hit many home runs as well. It is a delightful combination of the practical, psychological and spiritual. I’m going to recommend it wherever I go. How much it would add happiness in the homes of people all over the nation and the world if...the principles you have enunciated were accepted and acted upon. |
